BUT FIRST, A MESSAGE ABOUT THE SITE
Hello! Welcome to the new gcan.co! As you can see by the filler text throughout the website, I am still very much in the process of design and development. This new site eschews the trite but beautiful web templates that permeate the internet today, instead going for a minimal and striking design that is wholly my own.
I am exploring web paradigms and user experience cues with this new site, while also attempting to build a functional online portfolio for my work and life. This is no easy task, which is why much of the website appears incomplete. The new gcan.co is still very much under construction, but check back often to see the latest changes! Expect these pages to be filled with actual content in the coming months.

AT THE FOREFRONT OF BRAIN SCIENCE
Cognitive science is an emerging field that studies the mind and brain from a multifaceted perspective. It merges the fields of neuroscience, cognitive psychology, linguistics, anthropology, and philosophy of mind.
Northwestern is a leading institution for cognitive science education and research. Current faculty include Dedre Gentner, who won the 2016 Rumelhart Prize for Contributions to the Theoretical Foundations of Human Cognition, and past faculty include Don Norman, famed design theorist and the founder of the Institute for Cognitive Science and Cognitive Science Society.
